MUSIC BY

BOBBY C SOUND TV

SOUND CLOUD
It's not everyday a producer/DJ gets blogged by their favorite director as is the case with Bobby C Sound TV who was recently blogged and called brilliant by Edgar Wright, director of such cult movies as Shaun Of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Hot Fuzz. Bobby Collins aka "Bobby C Sound TV" has been rocking music and venues for 10 years now. In the DJ realm he mixes anything and everything to create an eclectic party-rocking experience in the club. In 2006 he finished 3rd out 2,200 entries for the Westword DJ Mix competition. He was the only multi-genre DJ to be a finalist. In early 2009 Bobby started messing around with a video DJ plug-in and soon after unveiled, "Bobby C Sound TV". His love of cinema was combined with his 10 years of DJ experience to create a pastiche of pop-culture that is visually stimulating and danceable at the same time. His live mash up DJ approach was applied to create crowd rocking routines with some of the most memorable music videos, movie scenes and just about everything in between. He has had shows all around the nation and has also played just about every venue in his home state of Colorado from Red Rocks Ampitheatre to The Fillmore Auditorium to the Denver Coliseum and every place in between. He has had various residencies all over his home state including a monthly at the number one club in North America, Beta (Clubworld 2009). He was also the first headlining artist for the VIP party of The First bank Centre, AEG's new 8,000 seat flagship venue. In 2010 he was one of 20 DJ's nationwide selected to play the Global Inheritance Sweatshop Mixer at The Coachella Music Festival. On the production front, he has a number remixes and albums out with many more on the way. In 2011 his full-length, "Future Past" was released on Cold Busted Records. Early 2011 saw him join up with a second label, Gazeebo to release his EP, "Midnight Snack". The EP immediately jumped on 4 different top ten charts and thus far is #39 on the top 100 best-selling albums for Juno Download. His follow up, "Channel Surfing" made it to the #4 best-selling album (all genres) on the site. He recently released a free EP with powerhouse UK label, Ghetto Funk. The EP is fast approaching 5,000 downloads in just a couple months. A number of remixes and albums are slated for release on 5 different labels before the end of the year.

Weichie Yu

www.sorrowyu.com
Officially, I would say that I am a CG Artist and a creative Head. But let’s not be so serious! I am more like a CG Artist plus some crazy thoughts. Doing animation is one of my favorite things in the world, and it's also my everyday job, which is awesome! For me, animation is the simplest communication tool in the world to share my thoughts to people without any misunderstanding. Even you misunderstand it, it's still an interesting thing. Imagine a world full of vivid colors and shining everywhere, that's the place I always want to show you. May animation be with us, forever. And here comes the boring part, Weichieh Yu was born in 1979 in Taiwan and studied at the Pratt Institute in New York. As a CG Artist, his work has been internationally exhibited on television and Internet since 2007.

Jack Myers

www.jackmyersdesign.com
My first animations took place in my father's paperback books, where I would scribble flipbook shorts in the margins, filling each corner to capacity. Crude things: Pacman exploding, stickmen repeatedly injuring themselves, etc. In an effort to save his library while still encouraging creativity, my father bought sketchbooks and drawing supplies for me; after all he was the art teacher at my school. I acquired my first computer as a family gift in 1985, an Atari 800xl, whose crude 4-color animation capabilities led to several bizarre short films in high school. I later completed my degree at the Memphis College of Art, where an exchange with the San Francisco Art Institute ultimately convinced me to move west. In 1996, I became Senior Designer at the Bay Area firm DesignSite, where I mainly focused on print design and illustration...landing a spot in Print Magazine's Design Annual. With the advent of digital video, my work soon evolved full circle back to animation and motion graphics. In 2000 I moved to New York and completed Food, an award-winning animated film shown on PBS and at festivals worldwide...this film would open several doors down the road. In 2001, my partner Matthew Robbins and I launched Artfool, a multidisciplinary design studio that went on to become one of New York's finest event design companies, later chosen as one of Modern Bride's Trendsetters of the Year and featured frequently on Martha Stewart. Through the years I've had the privilege to work with some of the best animation studios and directors in New York, and my work has been seen on HBO, Showtime, MTV, VH1 or basically anywhere there is a TV. My print design, short films and photography have been featured in The New York Times, Print Magazine, Wired and Newsweek.

John Karian

www.junglinc.com
John Karian is an animator and designer based in Brooklyn, NY.  Originally from India, he spent his childhood drawing incessantly.  An obsession with Star Wars and science fiction in general, prompted him to quit his computer science degree 6 months before graduating, to attend Art School in San Francisco in 1997. Fast forward to 2001, with a BFA in tow, NYC was the next logical step - where John jumped straight into the world of creating commercials and promos for TV.  Currently the Director of Animation for Design at Charlex in New York, he played a lead role in creating the experimental in-house animation Shapeshifter.  John loves technology and embraces it in all forms, especially in his art; but sometimes he misses his paper and pencil.
