Peat Wollaeger (stenSOUL)

Drawing and painting ever since he was a kid, Peat started doing commercial art in the 90's and continued for almost a decade, creating urban designs for such clients as Coca-Cola, R. J. Reynolds, Anheuser Busch and some lesser evils. Burned out with the graphic arts scene and not creating any personal art, around 2002 inspired by Banksy and Logan Hicks he started using stencils and spray paint to reproduce his illustrations.

Peat's work was recently seen at Art Basel Miami (BRKLYN/MIA and Imaginary Frineds), Art Beats and Lyrics, Green Day's "the ART of Rock" at Stolen Space Gallery in London. Be sure to check out Peats work  this Summer at  EW 2010 in Beacon, NY, at the Mighty Tanka gallery in Brooklyn and Crewest in LA.
