Kid Zoom
Originally from Perth, Australia, artist KID ZOOM has fast become one of the big names emerging from the Australian contemporary art scene.
While still comparatively young to many of his contemporaries, he is widely considered a technical master with aerosol. Combining precise technical ability with tongue in cheek subversion of pop iconography, his work is not only attention grabbing but innovative in it's use of medium.
KID ZOOM began making street art at the age of 16. Starting out as a graffiti artist and vandal then moving from walls, to bus-posters to billboards and galleries. Now moving from his native Australia to New York, KID ZOOM continues to blur the line between art and vandalism. With his aggressive and often confronting gallery installations, stylized photo-realistic aerosol work and street installations, his work continues to challenge popular understanding of graffiti and it's current evolution.
